Gold Run Nordic Center
All our sleigh rides depart from the Gold Run Nordic Center (Breckenridge Golf Course). The trails are groomed daily and are relatively flat which is essential for a comfortable and safe sleigh ride. We would not force our horses to pull precious cargo dangerously up and then down steep ski slopes – it’s not safe and it’s very hard on the horses.
With rolling hills, magnificent mountain views and impeccably groomed trails, the Gold Run Nordic Center is an experience you won't soon forget. When you walk into the Clubhouse of the world-class Breckenridge Golf Club in winter, you immediately enter another world. Overstuffed leather chairs, a massive stone fireplace and panoramic views of the trails framed by the Continental Divide greet you as you stroll into our beautiful mountain lodge.
All of this means, of course, is that we have
INDOOR RESTROOMS. No other sleigh rides will tell you about their Port -a-Potties, and this becomes a very important issue, particularly for families with children. It often is taken for granted that facilities are always available everywhere - but this is not the case.
